Open to every EV. Here's how.
Native NACS plugs in. CCS1 cars use the built-in Magic Dock. No adapter to bring, no HiON app to download.
HiON stations use the NACS connector — the North American Charging Standard. If your car has a built-in NACS port, you plug in directly. If it's a CCS1 car, you pull into a Magic Dock stall and the adapter is already built in — every HiON station has it. Either way, there's nothing to bring and no HiON app to download.
The two paths
Two ways to plug in.
Has a built-in NACS port — Tesla; 2025+ Rivian, Ford, GM; Lucid Gravity; 2026 Hyundai/Kia, Honda, and more.

- Start the session in the Tesla app.
If you already carry your automaker's NACS adapter, that works here too — plug in at any stall and start the session in the Tesla app.

If your car doesn’t start the session on its own, start it in the Tesla app — the simplest, most proven charging flow there is. There’s no HiON app to download; you charge the way you already do.
On the network
Designed for the driver.
On the national network known for reliability HiON builds on, a Tesla plans the trip, pre-conditions the battery, and shows live status on screen. Other EVs plug into the same stalls, CCS1 cars by way of the built-in Magic Dock — no HiON app either way.

See how charging worksIf you already carry your automaker's NACS adapter, that works here too — plug in at any stall and start the session in the Tesla app. A few older EVs and plug-in hybrids don’t have a NACS option yet and can’t charge on the national network known for reliability. Check your brand’s charging page if you’re not sure — and your car charges at the highest rate it supports, so real speed depends on your vehicle and battery state.
How fast is it.
Up to 325 kW on V4 hardware. Some EVs reach that rate, most charge below it. Your car charges at the highest rate it supports — real speed depends on your vehicle, its battery state, and how busy the station is.
Starting and paying.
If your car has a built-in NACS port, plug in and charge with your car's app or Plug & Charge. If you use a Magic Dock stall, start the session in the Tesla app. Pricing is set and billed by Tesla through the app you use to charge — you'll see the current rate before you start. No membership is required to charge. Tesla offers an optional membership that can lower the per-kWh rate.
At the station
A few things drivers ask.
- Which stall do I pull into?
- Any open stall. The Magic Dock stalls are marked — pull into one of those if your car is CCS1.
- Will the cable reach my port?
- Cables are short, so back in or pull forward so your charge port lines up with the post. HiON lays out its own stalls to make this easier — one fewer thing to think about.
- Do I need an adapter?
- No. Cars with a built-in NACS port plug in directly, and every HiON station has Magic Dock — the CCS1 adapter is built into the stall. If you already carry your automaker's adapter, that works too.
